Gourmands have taken over — but most are a flat wall of synthetic vanillin. We built this on cured Malabar vanilla and dark tobacco, woven through real clove, cinnamon and cardamom from the Kerala coast. The spice cuts the sugar and gives it depth, so it smells warm and edible rather than cloying.

The Origin

Vanilla grows on the Malabar coast of Kerala — India quietly cures some of the world's finest pods, dark and leathery — beside the clove and cinnamon that built the global spice trade. The sweetness here is real vanilla, not one sugary synthetic.

How to wear it

The cold-weather, evening one. To the throat and wrists; it projects and lasts well into the night. Gets cosier as it dries down. A little goes a long way.
