Built on mitti attar from Kannauj — baked clay steam-distilled into a sandalwood base, the one material no laboratory has reproduced — over ruh khus from Hathras and cedar, with green cardamom above. It does not announce itself. It arrives the way weather does.

The material
Mitti attar
Baked clay, packed into a copper still and steamed, the vapour caught in a base of sandalwood oil. What condenses is petrichor. Kannauj has done this since the 1600s and no laboratory has reproduced it.

How it behaves
